The People’s Agenda: Community Town Hall

  • Lawrence Elks Lodge 652 Andover Street Lawrence, Massachusetts, 01843 United States (map)

Over the past two months, hundreds of people from across the Merrimack Valley have come together through community listening sessions and regional assemblies to identify the issues that matter most to our communities. Together, we created the Merrimack Valley People's Agenda—a shared vision for the future of housing, immigration, and healthcare.

Now it's time to bring that agenda directly to the candidates and elected officials seeking to represent us. Join the Merrimack Valley Project—a coalition of faith communities, unions, immigrant communities, neighborhood groups, and community organizations from across the region—for a People's Agenda Town Hall with candidates and elected officials ahead of the September primary.

Community members will present the People's Agenda and ask candidates and elected officials how they will address the priorities identified by people across the Merrimack Valley. Together, we'll demonstrate what is possible when our communities organize, build relationships, and speak with one voice.

When: Sunday, August 16, 2026 3:30 PM — Doors open 4:00–6:00 PM — Town Hall

Where: Lawrence Elks Lodge #65 652 Andover Street, Lawrence, MA
