Campaigns

At MVP, our members and leaders select issues through deep listening and community decision-making. Then, we come together to take those issues and choose specific, strategic, and winnable campaigns to address them.

ISSUES AND CAMPAIGNS

  • IMMIGRATION

MVP’s communities have spent decades fighting together to stop deportations—through rapid response efforts and long-term policy advocacy—honoring the dignity of immigrants and insisting that no human being is illegal. Under the new administration, this work is more critical than ever.

    HOUSING

MVP is ensuring our communities are safe and affordably housed by organizing for policies like expanding public housing funding, and letting cities stabilize rents, while our local teams reshape their cities like inclusionary zoning reform and affordable housing funding.

    HEALTHCARE

MVP is fighting for a healthcare system that puts people over profit. We’ve organized to stop hospital closures, protect safety-net services, and expand access to affordable, culturally competent care—regardless of income, immigration status, or zip code. Across the region, our members are taking action to ensure healthcare remains a human right in our communities.

The signs support a $15 minimum wage and oppose mass layoffs, with some signs reading 'Fight for $15' and 'Support a $15 minimum wage.' A yellow banner reads 'Lawrence Lucha Por,' and people are gathered on the staircase and balcony.

    ECONOMIC JUSTICE

We’ve organized and stood with workers and leaders to win fair pay, defend union rights, and demand that all jobs come with dignity and security. And in response to oppressive capitalism, we support possibilities for economic development that build self-determination and power for our historically lower income neighbors and people of color.

    CIVIC ENGAGEMENT

Mobilizing communities to vote, take action, and lead. Through voter education, outreach, and policy advocacy, we build grassroots power across race, class, and faith. As part of statewide coalitions, including the Election Modernization Coalition and its Voting Access Campaign, we fight to expand and protect democracy so every voice is heard and every vote counts.

    EDUCATION

The state Constitution calls on us to cherish the education of ALL our children, but sometimes the systems in place fall short. Across the Merrimack Valley, teams are working to make it true from legislative priorities to seeing youth themselves take the lead.
