The Merrimack Valley Project is working to pass a Tenants' Rights Ordinance that would require landlords to provide renters with clear information about their rights, and local resources when they sign a lease or face ev1iction.
This ordinance would help ensure tenants know:
• their right to organize a tenants' association without retaliation
• theiir right to report unsafe housing conditions
• that only a court can evict them
• where to find legal and housing support.
